1962 Fender Twin Amp, White Tolex
Rare to see here in the UK, in fact pretty rare to see anywhere, this superb 1962 Fender Twin amplifier, presented in its original blonde tolex, is an exceptional piece of music history and a testament to Fender's vision during the early 1960s and the forerunner to the ubiquitous Twin Reverb.
The blonde tolex covering, complemented by the wheat-colored grille cloth, is in very nice condition, compared to most we have see showing only minor wear that enhances its vintage character without detracting from its overall aesthetic appeal. There is a small rip in the grille (see pics).
At the heart of this amplifier are two 12-inch Jensen speakers, dating from 1964, which have been carefully matched to the amp's original specifications. These speakers are renowned for their clear, articulate sound, delivering the Twin's signature tone - crisp highs, smooth mids, and a deep, resonant low end. The speakers provide a well-rounded sonic profile that remains true to the amp's heritage while adding a touch of vintage warmth.
