1968 Fender Stratocaster, Refin Red

1968 Fender Stratocaster, Refin Red

A very cool player-grade, late transition logo 1968 Fender Stratocaster, refinished in red. A great looking guitar with lots of character despite the colour not strictly being a Fender shade of red. However it’s been applied nicely over a light undercoat and overall we think it looks great, albeit not vintage correct.
This Strat features the larger 'transition' headstock logo, original F-stamped tuners (with holes from previous tuners still visible), and a rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The neck has been stripped and now has that smooth, played-in feel that's smooth and comfortably in the hand. It’s been refretted and has a replaced nut and it plays well across the board.
Under the guard, you’ll find a set of three grey-bottom pickups with cloth wire—clear, articulate, and full of that classic mid/late 60s Strat sparkle and dynamic response. The tone is more scooped and satisfyingly punchy. The pots have been replaced, some wiring changed, as have the saddles. There’s also an added second string tree on the headstock.
This is a late-'60s Strat with bags of personality. It's ideal for players who want vintage tone and feel as well as something that stands out from the crowd... all without paying collector-grade prices. It looks sharp, sounds great, and feels broken-in in all the right ways—a true workhorse with proper vintage DNA.
Whether you're chasing late-60s Strat tone or just want a Strat with an edge, character, and serious playability, this one’s got you covered!
