2004 Gibson Custom '57 Reissue Les Paul Goldtop
A well-kept example of a 2004 R7 Goldtop, built during a particularly well-regarded period for the Gibson Custom Shop.
With its mahogany body, carved maple top, and classic Goldtop finish, this guitar delivers exactly the sort of sound and feel you’d hope for from a good Historic reissue Les Paul- warm, resonant, and full-bodied, with plenty of sustain and a strong midrange presence. The Burstbucker pickups provide a clear, dynamic response that works equally well clean or pushed into overdrive. The control cavity solder joints have been resoldered at some stage, though all electronic components appear to be original.
It has a substantial, chunky-C neck carve that fills the hand nicely, and gives the guitar a very solid, reassuring feel. Players who prefer a fuller neck will feel immediately at home here. The rosewood fretboard has a lovely two-tone sapwood stripe running down the edge, an instantly recognisable look that makes this guitar really stand out.
Presented in lovely condition overall, with only light signs of use and its original hardshell case and documentation, a really solid Custom Shop offering for those who prefer the '57 Goldtop vibe!
